Drawing created for the NYU Gallatin course "The Mexican Muralists, Their Indigenous Influences, and the American Artists they Influence".
The assignment was to create a piece based on the culture of Teotihuacán and inspired by the art of José Clemente Orozco. Shapes inspired by elements seen in art from Teotihuacán as well as Orozco’s "Man Released from the Mechanistic to the Creative Life" (1932). Colors inspired by those in Orozco’s "Last Scream" (1958). Various works and maps from Teotihuacán influenced the composition and shapes.
